Bird & Animal Information

Khao Sok’s jungle contains so much variety it is best to consider it as a small world of its own. The unique climate and geological conditions create several small ecosystems that all have their own plants and animals. A fig tree, for example, can provide food for several animals while also supporting dozens of epiphytes like ferns and orchids, not to mention all of the birds and insects that call it home.

While the rest of the world develops, Khao Sok has become an increasingly important refuge for its many animal residents to thrive and grow. Below you can find a collection of my photos that presents only a small slice of the life that exists in Khao Sok. I hope to continue to follow my passion and grow this collection, and invite you to join me!

These images should inspire you to come and see this place with your own eyes and capture it through your own lens. It’s important for the world to know that there is still a great variety of wildlife here that is worth seeing, and more importantly, it is worth protecting for future generations of animals and nature lovers alike.
